The 10th edition of Le Mans Classic will be held from 30 June to 3 July 2022, and as in previous editions Renault will be present.
This year Renault will take to the track with three Renault 4CVs - the first rear-engine car to compete in the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1949 - reminding all vintage car racing enthusiasts of the success achieved by this popular model in 1950.
The three 4CVs will be driven by exceptional crews. The duo of Alain Serpaggi, winner of the performance index at Le Mans 24 hours race in 1969, and Géraldine Gaudy, journalist at L'Argus, at the wheel of a Renault 4CV replica of the iconic 1950 version. Julien Saulnier, current winner of the Alpine Trophy and Patrick Henri, WRC (World Rallye Championship) driver, and the duo of Belgian driver Christian Chambord and his teammate Jean-Pierre Prévot, will be racing two 4CVs replica of the 1951 version.
CLUBS AREA
Next to the historic circuit, Renault will set up an exhibition celebrating two icons of the Boulogne-Billancourt firm: the Renault 4CV and Renault 5, the latter of which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year.
Renault Classic has prepared an exhibition made of 9 versions of the Renault 5 and 9 versions of the 4CV for all historic car’s enthusiasts. In addition, more than 100 vehicles from private collectors will join the party in the Renault clubs area.
RENAULT & ARTCURIAL MOTORCARS
This edition of Le Mans Classic marks the beginning of the collaboration between Renault and Artcurial. On July 2nd, 8 exceptional lots will be offered for sale, giving collectors the opportunity to appropriate a part of the Renault legend, and thus give a second life to automotive treasures previously kept in the brand's reserves.
The first star of "The Renault Icons" section will be the 1983 Renault Formula 1 RE40-03 ex-Alain Prost.

It is the largest gathering of classic cars with over 800 racing cars on the track and 8,500 classic cars displayed in the specially designed enclosures.
Renault has participated in 8 editions of Le Mans Classic since its launch, the 2022 edition being the ninth.
